Support Unit Classes
Our purpose-built Support Unit Classes at Gledswood Hills Public School have been established this year.
Our support classes provide specialist and intensive support for eligible students with a diagnosed intellectual disability, physical disability, autism spectrum disorder or mental health diagnosis.
Students in support classes have the same opportunity as students in mainstream classes to participate in school and community activities. We look forward to welcoming more students into our classes as they transition over the next term and building their success to integrate into school activities.
You cannot enrol your child directly into a support class. This requires a specific application for eligible students. For more information, please contact the school, or you can find further information here: https://education.nsw.gov.au/schooling/parents-and-carers/inclusive-learning-support/primary-school
We additionally suggest reading the ‘Inclusive Education Statement for students with disability’, guiding the principals of inclusion in our schools.
